What games will you be running in your tournaments?
The games Hurricane Gaming is able to run for our tournaments are almost limitless. Games varying form battle royals, to FPS’s, even games like Madden, and 2K. Hurricane Gaming will pick what games we will use for our tournaments based off of what the community wants.

Is my kid going to get bullied?
Hurricane gaming is commited to a safe and friendly gaming environment. Hurricane Gaming have enforced rules that will prevent players from committing such actions. For example, if a Hurricane Gaming host catches a player bullying another player, that player will be immediately disqualified from the tournament. Players are also encouraged to report bullying to hosts so they can be removed from tournaments.

Are video games bad for kids?
On the contrary to your beliefs, gaming has many benefits physically and mentaly. “A 2013 meta-analysis found that playing shooter video games improved a player’s capacity to think about objects in three dimensions' ' said by American Psychologist. Thus gaming can be very healthy for the brain, pushing it in ways other activities can’t. Additionally, American Psychologist said, “ More than 70 percent of gamers play with a friend,”making gaming a very social outlet for millions of people throughout the world.

What are Esports?
Esports is a form of organized, but competitive gaming. Esports have professional players, teams, and professional events held annually. There are also college and high school teams. Esports give people who love to play video games the chance to earn money while doing what they love

Why should I play in these tournaments?
These tournaments offer a gateway for teens who are looking for a fun and relaxing time. These tournaments also offer teens a great way to interact with others, and make new friends, which in the end is what Hurricane Gaming is aiming to do: give teens the chance to be themselves without the stress of face-to-face interactions.

Do I have to have experience?
Hurricane Gaming tournaments are open to all levels of experience and skill sets. We welcome those who consider themselves as veterans, to those who are just starting out. Please remember that you might play someone who maybe more advanced than you. however; practice makes perfect!

Is there an age limit?
There are no age limits to Hurricane Gaming tournaments. As long as you have a console or a PC, you are able to play. However, if you are younger, it is up to your parents if you are able to play or not, so Hurricane Gaming is aiming for more of the older kids in our area. Such as junior high and high school.
